Movie Review!

Revenge of the Nerds II was on one of the movie channels, and you'd better believe that I was watching. It totally exceeded my expectations.

Bradley Whitford features as the evil frat boy, and he's really just playing Josh, except he smokes and hates nerds. There's a scene where he orders some people to be thrown off of a boat, and he's wearing a black polo shirt and sunglasses, smoking, and the cartoony evil is almost too much, which equals great. He rocked this movie hardcore.

Courtney Thorne-Smith looks all of 19, and even gets to spout some pseudo-scientific mumbo jumbo about brain cells. And flounce around in bikinis, including an army surplus one at the end.

Timothy Busfield plays one of the nerds, while simultaneously playing a character in thirtysomething. He looks 15 without the beard, and 33 with it. I can't explain it.

Anthony Edwards shows up, and he looks exactly the same as today. Maybe he's lost some hair.

The fellow who plays the nerd who's past festive all the way to flaming later provided the voice of Diablo II's paladin.

It also had two bits which demand one's attention.

There was a nerds-rapping-to-earn-support-for-their-movement-to-vote-down-an-amendment-to-some-fraternity-hoobadjoo-which-would-kick-them-out scene which is killer. I want to learn that rap, so that I could bust it out whenever appropriate. I can't remember any lines off hand, but it was quality.

Secondly, in the midst of one of Bradley Whitford's incredibly over-thought plans to get rid of the nerds, the skeevy nerd uttered the phrase, "A virgin is a terrible thing to waste." And it was hilarious.

All in all, I never want to see this movie again, unless I was really drunk, in which case it would be exactly what I wanted to see. Perhaps a drinking game is in order.
